Matthew Bai – Urban Development Editor

Matthew’s professional interests include land-use planning/integration, resource management, and affordable housing. He holds the position of Urban Development Editor at City Planning NZ and is involved with content production, social media promotion, and administrative aspects relating to the site.

Oscar Davie – Regional and National Strategy Editor

Oscar’s particularly interested in regional and national strategy, specifically the provision of infrastructure and housing in high growth areas. He believes this will become more important in particular regions of New Zealand experiencing disproportionately high levels of population growth. Oscar will assist with articles in this area, while referencing some global and oceanic examples that regional and national authorities could draw from. Some of the content will be approached from a holistic angle while specific regional/national strategies will also be addressed.

Malcolm McCracken – Transportation Editor

Malcolm’s passion is transport, particularly public transport and rapid transit. Although other interests include land-use planning and urban redevelopment and the overlap with transport. Consequently, Malcolm holds the position of Transportation Editor at City Planning NZ, while also handling much of the admin of the website.

Sammy Migone – Sustainability Editor

Sammy is a second-year urban planning student at the University of Auckland. While her interests cover a range of topics, her primary focus is sustainability and creating safe,  liveable and equitable cities. Sammy is the Sustainability Editor at City Planning NZ and is involved in creating content, social media promotion and site administration.

Jordan Pauw – Urban Design Editor

Jordan’s interests are primarily in designing urban spaces for environmental sustainability and the human experience, but also include many other aspects of urban design. As urban design is so heavily intertwined with various other topics on this site, Jordan will assist with some articles produced by other team members, as well as producing content as the Urban Design Editor at City Planning NZ.
